A philanthropist who supports many nonprofit organizations in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and the surrounding areas, Andrew Davis founded the Sydney & Andrew Davis Foundation with his wife. Through the foundation, Andrew Davis and his wife support organizations that benefit the arts, education, the environment and health care, both in Santa Fe and beyond.
As advocates of education, the couple support students through local organizations such as Breakthrough Santa Fe, Girls, Inc. and First Serve New Mexico. They have also contributed to and served on the board of directors for the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum and the Lensic Performing Arts Center. In 2011, through the foundation, the couple donated $1 million to the National Dance Institute (NDI) of New Mexico to support the renovation and completion of the Hiland Theater Project in Albuquerque. Also strong proponents of environmental preservation, the couple are avid supporters and members of the Ocean Council for Oceana, an organization dedicated to protecting the ocean, its ecosystems, and its habitats. In 2012, the Albuquerque Journal selected the couple as Philanthropists of the Year.
Aside from his philanthropic pursuits, Andrew Davis serves as president of Davis Selected Advisers, LP, an investment management firm in New Mexico. He is Portfolio Manager of the Davis Real Estate Fund and the Davis Appreciation and Income Fund.
